2017 Braun Series 7 799cc Review Update: With the new year we are seeing prices drop as the models are now one year older. You can now find this razor for just over $200 on Amazon, a nice drop from the almost $300 MSRP! This is one of the best shavers.
This electric razor is built for performance and stands out from other Braun razors! The value you get with this razor is well worth the price.
For just under $300 many top of the line features and an electric shaver that will last for at least 10 years. When you read about these features it is clear why other, less expensive shavers, do not perform this well.
This is great if you are in a rush in the morning. Some lower end razors will require you to go over certain spots multiple times to get all of the last few hairs. This technology reduces the number of strokes you will use over time.
This just goes to show you why this is such a great razor. It accommodates many different skin and hair types. You can lower the speed if you have sensitive skin or crank it up if you have thicker, coarse hair.
The head of this electric shaver is also very flexible in two different ways.
The head can pivot up to 40 degrees allowing it to slide smoothly over the contours of your face. Plus each individual blade on the head is on its own suspension allowing for even more response to even the smallest curves on your face.
This thing cuts like a sports car!

These features combined give you a shave that is close like a blade but also gives you the convenience of an electric razor. Of course this may depend on how thick your beard is but if you don’t have a heavy beard you will love this razor.
However, if you decide you need the head to firm up for certain locations you can lock it in place. This is useful for more difficult areas to reach but would be different for everyone.
It boast a 5 action alcohol based cleaning station. The system will hygienically clean, charge, lubricate, selects cleaning program and dries at the touch of a button.
The alcohol kills 99.99% of germs, perfection is impossible!
This is said to be up to ten times more hygienic then just rinsing with water. This should help prevent even more irritation and avoid adding germs back on to your face which could cause acne.
If you are in a hurry you can select a fast clean option that will clean your razor in just 25 seconds. However, the charging/cleaning station will normally automatically assess your razor and choose the best option for it.

It also has an advanced display on the bottom that shows the batter status as well as the hygiene status.
So not only will you know when you need to charge your razor but when you should clean or replace the foils.
This Braun Series 7-799cc-6 also comes with a powerful lithium-ion battery which is the standard these days. One full charge will give you 50 minutes of shaving time!
This should definitely be enough to get you through the week. However, don’t worry if you forgot to charge as a 5 minute quick charge should be enough to get you through one shave.
Finally, it has automatic voltage adaptation for when you travel. From 100-240v.

OK so you may have noticed there are not many cons to this razor. If we had to pick one it would be the price.
But you get what you pay for.
If you decide to check out some of the reviews for yourself you will see many people mention the price but say it is totally worth it. If you take care of the razor and change the heads when you are supposed to you will get at least 10 years of shaving with this quality razor.
One guy even made the switch after shaving with the Series 5 for over 6 years and said the price increase was worth it. He was able to get a closer shave in less time. What is not to love?
If you spend the money on a quality razor like this one, you will get quality shaves for many years to come. If you end up going for a cheaper, lower quality razor, you may end up replacing it much sooner so are you really saving money?
