8 Top Tips for a Healthy Beard

Like the hair on the top of your head, your beard needs to be given special treatment if you want to have a great beard look. If your beard is too curly you can always straighten your beard but that is a different tip for another day. Here are the 8 top tips you need to have a great looking beard.

#1. Be Patient– Rome was not built in a day and neither will a great looking beard. You will have to put time and effort into constructing the best-looking beard possible. This means you will have to set aside some time just to tend to your beard needs. It also means that you do not trim your beard for the first month and a half. This self-control will allow your beard to grow evenly and allow you to style it when it is long enough.

#2. The beard needs to fit the face– If you want to turn women’s heads, then you need to find the right style of beard that will complement your face. You do not want a style that will have the women running screaming in terror at what they saw. Be honest with yourself and don’t just pick a style you like, you may be wrong. Get a second and third opinion before picking the style looks good on you.

#3. Trim at the correct time– Gardeners trim when the bush is ready to be trimmed. Any time sooner and their work of art looks like it is headed for the garbage dump. Do yourself a favor and wait till your beard is ready to be trimmed. Then go out and buy a good trimmer that will help you achieve the look you want to have. Also, learning the right technique to trimming a beard is essential to having yours look great.

#4. Keep your beard clean– No woman likes to see yesterday’s lunch hanging from your beard. Practice some good hygiene habits and wash your beard regularly. You can use specialized soaps but whatever you do when you dry don’t be aggressive and just pat your beard dry. If you are too aggressive you can end up with split ends and a lot of frizz. Just be careful when you dry your beard.

#5. Oil your beard– Your car needs oil maintenance to make sure it is running like a well-made clock, so your beard needs oil to help get it looking and acting its best. Not only that, oil will make your beard hair softer and shiner. Women do not like facial hair that sticks in their skin, they prefer the soft gentle touch. Use oil and have a better romantic time with the ladies.

#6. Train your beard hair– Beard hair is not robotic and automatically grows into the style you want. You need to be like a coach of an athletic team and train your beard to do what you want it to do. A good beard comb will help remove the tangles and teach your beard where it should go. The preferred direction is down. There is also no law that says you cannot use styling gel to sculpt your beard into the fashion you want.

#7. Mustaches need care too– They may not be part of the beard but mustaches can take away from your good-looking beard by looking unkempt and ragged. Make sure the care you put into your beard is applied to your mustache as well. If you like a sculpted mustache then a good mustache wax and a pair of trimming scissors will help you design it in the way you want it to look.

#8. Don’t forget the nutrients– To get a healthy body you need to eat right and make sure it gets the nutrients it needs. So does a healthy beard. Your beard needs B vitamins so make sure you get enough to help your beard be healthy and look good.

There you have it 8 healthy beard tips to achieve a great beard. If you follow these tips correctly you too will have a great looking beard.
