Parker has been around for over 40 years and has a long tradition of offering some of the best products for wet shaving including razors, brushes, soaps, stands and bowls. Their company has been around since 1973 and they strive to provide the closest and most comfortable shave.

This silvertip badger bristle Parker shaving brush is one of the best brushes for the money. Silvertip badger hair is considered the best type of badger hair for these brushes because these bristles can retain large amounts of water.

Silvertip brushes can quickly create rich lathers with your favorite shaving soap that you can lather on to your face. This is an essential tool if you wet shave with a DE safety razor. They also use a high density of bristles in this brush so it will get the job done nicely.

Badger species are protected in the US so this product is made in India. They are handmade as well which just screams out quality.

Another cool thing about Parker brushes is that they include stands for the brush. This is important for the long-term care of your brush. You will want the brush to drip dry to keep it lasting for years to come.

The faux handle makes this badger brush easy to grip and super comfy. You will be able to effortlessly create a rich lather with your favorite shaving soap or cream helping you get a close and comfortable shave. It has a nice weight to it as well giving it a solid, masculine feel.

If you don’t like the color of the handle they offer many other types including:

When you first start using the brush, you may notice a few of the hair fibers ending up your shaving mug. This is completely normal when you break in your new brush. However, after a few uses this will end you will notice the quality Parker puts into their products as it holds on to the fibers!

One thing you may or may not like is the loft on this brush. It is on the longer side which allows the bristles to hold onto the lather you created. So, while it might look great in the bowl it may take a little longer to transfer it to your face.

They used a 25-mm knot on this brush so the density is there, however it is not set deep into the handle so this allows the bristles to fan out wide. Had they set it deeper this would have stiffened up the backbone of the brush making it easier to transfer your shaving soap to your face.

So, this is a little bit of a trade-off, while this brush will feel super soft on your face it may just want to hold on to that soap. In other brushes with a shorter loft, they will feel a little stiffer but will better transfer the soap to your face.

This brush does not shed as much as others and you may notice the odor is not as strong.  This odor can be eliminated by washing the brush a few times before your initial use.

This isn’t the softest brush but it is very soft which might make face lathering a little difficult. However, you won’t have an issue lathering your soap in a mug or bowl and then transferring it to your face. It can be a lather hog so you may need to “paint” your face with the brush.
