The quality that this German based company uses in their engineering is instantly noticed when you put this razor in your hands.
Check out our review to learn more about the Mühle R107.
What Are The Feature of the Mühle R107?
The Mühle R107 has a similar head to the closed comb R89.
This closed combs are less aggressive than their open tooth comb models.
The head is also a 3-piece screw off type. Which makes changing the blades simple compared to some butterfly type openings.
The blade will lineup perfectly on the comb’s guide bars. So you won’t have to play with the angle at all.
While you still may have a little bit of a learning curve if you are switching to wet shaving. Especially from using electric shavers or disposable cartridge razors, this one will be a little more forgiving.
The handle has a moderate length of 3.7 inches which you will enjoy if you have larger hands it won’t feel small at all.
It also has a nice white resin style grip that still allows you to firmly grip the razor when it is wet. But it also gives the handle a nice clean look.
Everything else on the razor besides the handle is a nice chrome plating over a solid brass frame.
This gives the razor it’ weight as well as a nice shine that should last for a long time if you take the time to clean it regularly.
When Should You Change The Blade On Your Mühle R107?
Just like other razors, your blades will give you about a week’s worth of shaving. However, this could depend as well on how often you shave.
Or if you have thicker facial hair this may wear the blades out faster as well.
Who Would Benefit From The Mühle R107?
If you are looking for your first double edged safety razor this could be a great choice.
It is well made and less aggressive so it will be more forgiving while you are learning your technique.
When switching to wet shaving you must take a little more time to prep your face by using items like a shaving brush, pre-shave oil and a quality shaving soap.
Those of you with sensitive skin should also benefit from this razor.
Especially if you just do one or two passes the razor will not cut your hair under the skin which is a major cause of irritation.
This could also be a nice addition to your lineup if you already have multiple shavers, especially if you don’t own any Mühle razors yet.
Where Should You Buy The Mühle R107?
Amazon almost always has the best prices plus this razor will qualify for free shipping.
You can also quickly see what other items people bought when they purchase the razor.
Usually people buy razor blades as they do not come with the razor but they are cheap so you can get a lot for not a lot of money.
You can also see what people are saying in the customer reviews. This is nice to see many people’s opinions before you buy.

Hello, I am looking to buy something special for my son for His birthday and I just happened to land on your website. He’s a young adult just starting out on shaving hehe Would you recommend I get him this razor? I don’t know much about shaving and razors but this one looks like its good quality? and I did read up there that it’s good for beginners? TIA
That is nice of you to buy one of these quality razors for your son. This might be on the aggressive side for someone who has never shaved with a double edged safety razor before.
You may consider something on the mild side like one of these Merkurs.
So glad I came across this site. I love growing my beard although my wife hates it lol…Investing in a good quality shaver is definitely a must, I have had many cheap ones and if the blades do not rust they break easily. I currently have a expensive rechargeable Panasonic shaver and have never looked back, 2 years on and super happy.
Electric shavers are definitely the way to for convenience and should last you at least a couple more years. If you ever feel like giving wet shaving a try the Muhle R107 would certainly be an upgrade from your cheaper razors.
I am trying to get my friend something for is birthday, what would you recommend as a good razor gift?
Hey Omar, if you are looking to buy your friend a nice razor this could be it if he is an experienced wet shaver.
If he is new I would recommend one of these.
I am just loving this shaver all around! For the longest time, I was using a razor that was always rough on my skin. I never really though much of it because I never really used a different razor. The fact that this is less aggressive is super nice! And the blades are easier to change? That’s great too. I always hated changed the blades. Thanks for this awesome article! I’ll definitely be bookmarking your site here for future reference.
You’re welcome Caleb, I hope you find a razor that works for you and is not too rough on your skin.

Mühle 107 looks so damn elegant! Also the white resin handle will probably give a better grip, which is important when razor shaving.
Blades usually last 5 shaving cycles. It can go further, but then the blade starts to wear off.But you buy the base once. I will definetely consider getting one for myself.
You are right Tyler, these safety razors can be much more cost effective than most other styles of shaving as the razor blades are super cheap and you only need to buy one razor that will last many years if you take care of them.
