Product: Dorco Razor Blades Review

Rating: 4.6/5 stars with over 300 reviews

Cheapest Place to Buy: Amazon

Dorco makes two popular double edge razor blades: the ST300 Platinum Extra’s and the ST301 Prime Platinum’s.

Which one is better? And with each being about half the price of other razor blades, are they worth trying out?

In this Dorco Razor Blades Review, we are going to try and help you find the answers to these questions about Dorco razor blades.

Who is Dorco?

Dorco has been producing quality shavers and shaving accessories since 1955.  Dorco was founded in South Korea and was one of the largest Asian manufacturers.

DorcoUsa distributes their products in the US out of San Diego, California.

Dorco prides itself in technology and innovation to offer an unmatched shaving experience with their products.

They offer many products for men and women including disposable shavers, shave systems and shaving accessories.

What Are Dorco Razor Blades About?

Dorco uses a quality stainless steel for their double edge safety razor blades with advanced manufacturing techniques.

The create a fine edge on the blades with their micro-precision technology and use two Teflon coatings on each blade.

This is to provide a slickness to the blade so that it slides easier over your skin while cutting your beard. Especially when combined with your other accessories such as an oil, cream or soap.

The blades come individually wrapped in wax paper like most blades so that you don’t cut yourself when removing them from the box.

Since these blades are so cheap, about half the price of many others, it seems like Dorco’s customers really see a lot of value in them.

Many guys mention how they last long and may be harder than other blades, keeping their edge for a longer period of time.

Dorco Razor Blades Review (1)

As far as sharpness goes, they won’t be as sharp as Feather’s or Astra’s but they won’t be as soft as a Derby Extra.

These razor blades should be good for you if you have an average beard or even a slightly thick beard as several customers mention it can handle their thick beards.

The Teflon coating will also help you get a rather smooth shave.

Of course, every man is different but these do have a 4.6-star rating with over 300 reviews so we are speaking for the masses here.

Of the few complaints, some guys say these are cheap or not good quality but don’t go into specifics so they are not very helpful.

Overall, because of the price it might be worth it to try these just to see if they work for you since you would end up paying less than $4 per year on blades.

When Would You Choose The Dorco ST300 vs ST301 Prime Platinum Razor Blades?

If you are wondering which model you should buy, the ST300 vs. the ST301 there are a couple differences.

The manufacture states that the ST301’s have a thinner and finer edge which allows them to cut easier through your hair.

This makes sense as the blade should see less resistance while cutting.

Some guys also say that the ST301’s are sharper and stay sharper longer than the ST300’s.

They are also supposed to have an extra Teflon coating which will give them more smoothness.

This is confirmed by some guys who have used both and like the ST301’s for their additional sharpness and smoothness.

They may not be as durable as a Wilkinson Sword but some guys get the job done in just two passes with these blades.

Where To Buy Dorco Razor Blades?

You can find either of these Dorco double edge razor blades competitively priced on Amazon. Which is usually the cheapest and safest place to shop online.

Plus, you can easily compare both models and read hundreds of other user reviews, which are not always the most reliable but you can usually find some that relate to your beard or skin type.

If you are new to wet shaving you can also see what other razors people are buying with these blades and you may also want to grab a blade disposal case.

Dorco Razor Blades Review Conclusion

These two Dorco double edge safety razor blades offer a middle of the pack sharpness rating with some additional comfort for a smooth shave.

Depending on your beard types these may or may not be the best ones for you but there is truly only one way to find out.

At such a low price point however, it may worth finding out.

Thank you for your review! I’ll be sure to order the ST301 blades as my face is very sensitive thanks to my hairs being thick. Electric razors usually leave fine traces behind for me. I need the blade to be as sharp as possible! I also don’t want to be spending a fortune so this fits me perfectly 😀

      Hey Luigi,

If you are looking for really sharp blades you may want to look at Feather’s which are known to be some of the sharpest.

      Hope that helps!

Thank you for ST300 and ST301 of Dorco Double Edge Razor Blades review. When I buy Razor Blades, I will always look into the quality and price. After you walk through these two models, I think I will take ST301 next time. To be sharper and to stay sharper longer will be the main reason I choose it.

Looking for more related accessories from your review soon.
